Real change and novel solutions require new approaches - involving diverse actors, experimenting, and authentic collaboration.
We create generative collaborative spaces where change happens.
some examples of our recent work
The Social Movements Center works with Social Movements and Human Rights defenders globally and intends to build a Community of Practice in order to enhance their work locally and to foster collaborations globally. We supported the team in developing and facilitating a participatory process including various internal and external stakeholders to collaboratively build the vision for the Center’s development, that resulted into a strategy of the Center.
The Digital Citizens Journey is a citizens’ engagement process, aiming at involving diverse citizens in the design of a series on virtual products developed by the European Parliament. Our role in the process was to design an engagement process, to facilitate a series of online workshops, to capture and summarise the input that feeds into the next design steps.
The Informal Forum for Learning and Innovation for Roma Inclusion in Bulgaria is an initiative of the European Commission, several donors, and social NGOs, involved in local development activities for Roma inclusion in Bulgaria, which have been joined by concerned Embassies with the aim to form a Community of Practice that exchanges ideas and good practices and works towards creating innovative approaches, especially in the fields of advocacy, innovative funding models and cross-sectoral partnerships. Our role has been to design and facilitate the engagement process, as well as to manage and coordinate the work of the group.
Together with the Bulgarian Council on Refugees and Migrants, UNHCR Bulgaria & Multi Kulti we are working on a process to build an active community on the topic of inclusion of refugees and migrants. We held a "Laboratory for Collaboration", where diverse organisations were discussing possible joint actions and started planning on specific steps for joint work through the methods of participation and dialogue. Then, we continued the work with the National Forum for the Integration of Refugees, where we launched a 6-month participatory process, during which an innovative programming document - a Manifest for the integration of refugees in Bulgaria - will be developed and used as a key tool for advocacy at the national level.
We have developed an introductory training, based on the Art of Hosting practice, for managers from the public institutions in Bulgaria, as part of the annual training program of the Bulgarian Institute for Public Administration. The trainings focus on practical application of participatory methods for team meetings and stakeholders engagement processes and dialogue.
We have joined an international team of experts to deliver a series of Participatory Leadership (Art of Hosting) online trainings organised by the European Parliament within the context of the Conference on the Future of Europe - involving staff of the Parliament, EP Liaison Offices as well as representatives from the civil society organisations working on engaging citizens.
In the context of the Conference on the future of Europe, we designed and facilitated a series of participatory workshops for the Europe Direct Centers across Europe so they can host in-person and online participatory meetings with citizens.
We have supported the SELFIE team at the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the European Commission to design and facilitate workshops for teachers, principals, students, educators, and local authorities across Europe. Their purpose was to create space for exchange of ideas and to create a community of practice around the implementation of digital action plans at different schools and to start the process of creating a learning Community of Practice.
As part of Greenpeace’s efforts in Bulgaria to work towards just transition beyond coal mining, we have co-designed a long-term multi-stakeholder Social Lab in the coal mining region of Pernik, Bulgaria which aimed at activating the local communities and building a space for dialogue and co-creation among the various stakeholders.
We designed an engagement process and facilitated a strategic workshop for clean air activists groups across the country in order to start the process of co-creating a Community of Practice of activists who support and learn from each other and coordinate their local actions in order to achieve a bigger impact.
Together with the team of EVIC we created and led a multi stakeholder engagement process, as a result of which a cooperation agreement for the development of vocational education and training in the field of Electrical Mobility was signed by the Ministry of Education and Science and EVIC in order to enhance the links between business, secondary, higher and vocational education and training in the field of electrical mobility.
WE WORK in the meeting POINTS between SECTORS, TOPICS AND EXPERtise, BECAUSE this is where NEW SOLUTIONS ARE BORN.
Some of our partners include:
Impact organisations that explore new ways to address the most complex challenges and seek to transform systems.
Companies that want to engage their teams and are looking for authentic engagement of their stakeholders.
Government institutions seeking approaches to actively involve a variety of stakeholders in strategic processes.
Local communities that drive change from the bottom up and form unusual collaborations.
Teams looking for new ideas and solutions.
Innovative projects that build sustainable learning communities of practice.
WE ARE VISIONARIES, EXPERIMENTERS AND LOVERS OF THE QUESTION "WHY?".
We have worked on three continents - in our own endeavors, social projects and international business organizations. We add proven practical skills for designing and leading dialogue, co-creation and collaboration processes. We are pioneers in the application of the approaches of Art of Hosting and Social Labs in Bulgaria.
IN OUR WORK AND IN LIFE WE FOLLOW SEVERAL IMPORTANT PRINCIPLES.
NEW SOLUTIONS ARE AT THE INTERSECTION POINTS: Change is achieved only when we include various points of view, experiences and areas of expertise. We always ask, "Who else is important to be included in the process?"
THE SMALL STEPS ARE BIG: We work flexibly, experimentally and make sense of the process constantly, not just at the end. We keep an eye on the big picture as we take small practical steps.
ALL LEVELS ALL THE TIME: For us, the process of creating real relationships, trust and knowledge exchange between the different actors is as important as the results we achieve together.
THE COMMUNITY IS THE EXPERT: The people with whom and for whom we do something are the most valuable source of knowledge and information. We actively involve them in the various phases, not only to inform them, but also to learn together.
